Dear Mead families,
We have jam packed so much in to our short week this
week! Our nature hunter and gatherers have continued their inquiries out in the
garden, using our new buckets to collect all sorts of natural objects from the
yard. We have then been using these to sort and group together similar items.
We have found leaves, rocks, bark, feathers, flowers and sticks. We will look
at extending our nature hunting to the broader school community in the coming
weeks and look at different ways we can use our natural collections in our
play.
A big thank you to all the Grandies and special friends
who joined us for our Grandies celebration on Wednesday morning. The children
proudly showed their visitors all around the classroom and broader ELC. A big
thank you to our parent helpers who helped on the book stall and in the cafe area.
There are still some books available to donate to the Centre library. They are in the
front office if you wish to purchase one of them. Please see Miss Mandy.
We have continued to explore structure and balance as we
work individually and in small groups to build towers with all different types
of resources both indoors and outdoors. The children have also been developing
their problem solving skills as they work on more and more and more complex
puzzles.
Best wishes for the weekend
Jess, Rashmi and Satin
