Mead

Another busy week in the Mead Room!

We have been talking about the ‘Symbols of Christmas’, what we know about Christmas and how we celebrate.
Leo W – The reindeers help Santa.  God sent baby Jesus, he was a man and a leader.
William R – We have a Christmas tree, a big one, there’s some decorations on it. We have some presents on Christmas Day.  They (Mary and Joseph) were in a stable because they had nowhere to stay.
Cooper – Christmas stockings! Santa puts presents in them, I put mine near the Christmas tree. Wise Men followed that bright star, it took them to baby Jesus.
Tom D – On Christmas morning we get presents from Father Christmas, we open the presents. God told the angel there’s going to be a baby growing in your (Mary) tummy, its going to be baby Jesus.
Sam – My Christmas tree is as big as a monster! Everything is on my tree, baubles and a star on top of the tree.  A star is that big and shines, they followed it and saw baby Jesus.
Yifan – Mary, she go on the donkey, no cars in the Christmas.
Alana – we have Elf on the Shelf – he just sits there! The Christmas tree has decorations, we all helped, but not Daddy because he was at work! A star on top, the wise men followed it to baby Jesus.  I have a big stocking with presents, Santa left them.
Oliwer – On Christmas Eve we got to Baba and Dziadziu’s house and we have seafood and open our presents.   Baba makes yummy food, I don’t like vegetables but I eat them sometimes!

Happy Birthday to Parker for tomorrow!

The Summer program begins next week, looks like lots of summer fun and engagement with Miss Elodie and Miss Sharon.

Time seems to be speeding up as the moments I spend as your child’s teacher draws to a close.  I am thrilled that they will have the opportunity to have a wonderful transition to Chapple Room with Miss Elodie, and for our Mead Room friends who are leaving for different schools – we will miss you, but hope to see you again one day!!

Be safe, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Melissa, Elodie and Sharon
