Thursday
29th June is International Mud Day- Please could the children bring in spare
clothes and a plastic bag to put them in- It will get messy!
We
started the week with a visit from Sarah from KESAB. She was very impressed
with how much the children knew about recycling. We played a big version of our
recycling game.
We
have Lotto on our playing table and this was a great opportunity to practise our
turn taking.
In
PE, Mrs Bishop had made some ribbon dancing rings and the children had lots of
fun dancing to the music, even whilst on the obstacle course!
We
continued to enjoy the sun after the cold mornings with our outside play.
As
part of our investigation into push and pull, we made a CD hovercraft which
demonstrated a push force.
We
also revisited our salty water experiment. We read a book about
desalination and set about making our own filters.
Cooper - It will fall out of the holes down
the bottom. Salt is small.
Danica - Salt is tiny.
Sienna - We are bigger than salt.
The children thought the sea water should have
seaweed in it to make it more real. We added some to our salt water.
Oliwer - The seaweed is too big for the holes.
Mikayla -: The seaweed will stay in.
William R - The salt has come back.
We tried paper towel as a filter.
Liliana - The water would suck up.
Oliwer - The water will make it all wet.
Mikayla - It’s going through, but there are no holes.
Sienna - It’s going down on an angle on the white
stuff.
