Mead

Dear Mead Room families and friends,

We have thoroughly revelled in this glorious Autumn sunshine.

The children have spent the past few days immersed in our outdoor environment delighting in the joys and treasures it holds.  We have watered our tomato seedlings, picked perfect posies from the ‘Picking Patch’, delighted in observing our Chooks unearth tasty morsels from the garden, then noticed the Chooks have very long toes and toe nails (‘they dig and dig, I want to touch them!’ Tom S), Isla discovered a smooth, brown egg, and on a few occasions we have just plonked ourselves on the grass, wriggling our toes and listening to the sounds that surround us!

Our Easter Bonnet Parade was a fantastic opportunity for the whole of the ELC to come together to celebrate Easter and the end of Term 1.  The children were thrilled to showcase their creative head wear, we then searched through the outdoor environment for little treats left especially for us…….. “So many eggs!” Ronnie.  The Mead Room had the enviable task of dividing the eggs between the Mead, Mattingley and Cooper Rooms….. more mathematical computations for us to engage in!!!
ps…. we made sure we divided the bounty equally…..

Take care of each other,
Melissa and Georgia
