Angwin

Dear Angwin Parents and Friends,

With our Nativity Concert just around the corner we have begun to discuss the story of the first Christmas and what Christmas symbols mean to us. In particular we have explored the meaning of the star and we have begun making our own stockings to hang by the fire place.

What reminds us it’s Christmas time?

‘Reindeers and decorations.’ Marcos
‘Christmas trees and presents cause when you open the presents you get toys and books.’ Anthony
‘Father Christmas and Mrs Father Christmas because they’re like lots of books of Christmas.’ Samuel
‘You need a star up the top of the tree.’ Cameron
‘First you got to get your list of presents before you get your presents and Santa will make it.’ Sebastian
‘The star is so Santa knows where the tree is and he can put the presents here.’ Lucille
‘Angels are like stars so people can follow them to go to baby Jesus.’ Arwyn

It is always lovely to hear the children’s thoughts about Christmas and help them to further understand the meaning behind this celebration.
