Mattingley families and friends,
Over the last few weeks the children in
the Mattingley room have been enjoying many painting experiences
experimenting with a range of different coloured paints and sized brushes. Miss
Bowden explained to the children that an Artist is someone who spends a lot of
time working on something. Many of our friends have spent a lot of time and
effort creating their masterpieces so we definitely have some wonderful artists
amongst us.
Painting is much more than a simple activity. It is a way for different
types of children to express themselves in their own special way. Painting also
helps children use their senses, express emotion, explore process and outcomes,
explore colour, and create aesthetically pleasing works and experiences. Please
make sure you come in and take a look out the lovely art work that our artists
have been creating.
