Edgerley

Dear Parents and Friends,

We have been watching our silkworms grow from being tiny to now when they are much bigger… we are recording our observations as we have seen them change.

Here are some of our comments…

Alexander: There’s a cocoon… it’s a bit like a web… they have grown… Look!

Ryan: I can see two and there’s still some eggs!

Knox: They’re black and do you know I can see one nibbling! It looks like the cocoon moved in the leaves.

Hugo: I can see the silkworm eating a lead. There are some holes in the leaf.

Campbell: There’s caterpillars eating lots of leaves and they are going to go into cocoons!

The children have been drawing observational images of the silkworms and how they have changed.

We are busy working on our parts for the Nativity and starting lots of fun Christmas craft. The boys have loved their outside time, particularly playing in the water and mud on these warmer days.

We are looking forward to seeing you next Friday for our special Christmas Nativity. Please remember to get there early… we shall look forward to seeing the children at 10am, so we have time to get ready. The performance begins at 11am.

Kind Regards,

Emma, Pip, Ty and Rosalie
