Dear Parents and Friends of the Cooper Room,
It has been lovely catching up with our old friends this
week after the holidays. The children have enjoyed sharing their holidays news
and adventures over Easter.
“I go to the big beach. Mine got fish there,” said Harry
“I got fwee (three) eggs. That’s one, two ,fwee! I eat
them,” said Archie
“We got to go to the beach. I played with Lily.” said Tommy
This term our unit of Inquiry is “Home Sweet Home”. We will
explore our environment and look at how animals use it for their homes. We will
also do some research on our homes. The children are bringing home their
research sheets tonight which we hope will be completed together with families.
We will be looking at the photos of our homes and discussing why we need hones,
what we use them for and comparing them to the way animals use their homes.
This week certainly was a change of season and we loved the
opportunity to rug up and play outside in the fresh air – especially in the
puddles! With the rain around for the next few days at least please make sure
the children have a warm change of clothes in their bags and pop their gumboots
in for the fun rainy day play!
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and don’t forget
the Princesses Tea party next week! Tiara friendly hairdos work best!
Kind regards
Susan and Jain
