Holi Festival

As part of our unit of inquiry into Celebrations on Monday 17th March we will be investigating the festival of Holi. It is a major festival in the Hindu religion. It is celebrated on the day after the last full moon of the Hindu month of Phalguna. Phalguna falls between late February and early March in Western calendars. Holi usually marks the happy transition from harsh, dark winter to brighter, warmer springtime.

We would like the children  to bring in/or wear on the day, an old or cheap white t-shirt, if possible that we can add some colour to. If the children are to wear it on the day, please ensure they have their normal ELC uniform as a change of clothes.
