Langley Room

Dear Langley family and friends,

Wow, what a busy last week of Term 2 we have had! We have enjoyed tasting some different cheeses that children have brought in from home including blue vein cheese, bocconcini and maasdam. Some were a hit and others got some interesting reactions!
It might be stale – Alexander (blue cheese)
I don’t like it – Elle (blue cheese)
Taste nice, creamy – Angus RR (brie)
It tastes like holey cheese – Nathan (maasdam)

We have also been discussing and creating our favourite meals on paper plates –
I like fruit on a plate. I draw a watermelon, that’s nanas (bananas) and strawberries – Knox
Pizza, not tomato, cheese, just cheese. I want tomato on my pizza – Harry CH
Spaghetti and sauce. Pasta! Sauce! – Alexander
I like icecreams, pink. Dat my pink icecream – Scarlett B
Strawberry and melon. I like that melon, that tiny little melon. In the plants, the melons growing. This is to get the melon to grow, grow really high. We have plants at our house – Harry F

The Langley room have also been preparing some future tennis stars! We have been developing our eye hand coordination skills by practicing hitting the suspended tennis balls. It’s been a great social experience as well as being a whole lot of fun! We were also lucky enough to go for a walk to the big boy’s senior school library for an interactive story telling session with Mrs Harris and one of the big boys. We heard one of our favourite stories, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and heard a new one called Alexander’s Outing.

Please note that during the three week holiday period, the Langley class will be relocated to the Edgerley room while our bathroom and kitchen are renovated in preparation for the centre expansion. The Edgerley room is the second classroom on your right as you enter the centre. What an exciting holiday adventure!

Best wishes,

Jess, Kerry, Nicole and Emily
