Dear
Langley family and friends,
We
have been exploring different textures in the Langley room this week as we played
with gloop and frozen ice rings. The children have been describing what they
can feel and making scientific predictions and theories.
“It’s
gooey” said Archie, describing the texture of the gloop.
“The
water melts it” suggested Tom as the children examined the frozen ice ring,
“I
lick it?” asked Jock excitedly.
The
children watched as the ice slowly melted away and released the hidden shell
treasures inside!
We
have also been examining our facial features, identifying the colour of our
eyes and hair. We have been using collage materials to represent these on
photographs of our faces. Come and have a look at our growing display gallery.
Please
note that next Wednesday 23rd January we will be having another
water fun day (hopefully the weather will be a bit warmer this time!) Please
send your child in their labeled swim gear, with a towel and a dry change of
clothes please. Also, on Friday 25th January we will be celebrating
Australia Day so children are welcome to dress up in green and gold or
something else to represent Australia.
Best
wishes,
Jess,
Amelia, Nicole and Ange
