Edgerley and Chapple Rooms
Dear Chapple and Edgerley Families,
The last week of the year has been a blast for us.Not only did we enjoy both our indoor and oudoor activities, it has also been a time for us to share our Christmas and New Year plans with our families and friends.
We enjoyed finishing our Christmas cards and presents. We also tried to be "good" just to make sure we make it to Santa's "nice" list. You just never know!
But of course the highlight of our week was our Wet n' Wild Adventure!
It was great just to get on our cool slide and dash away! Not to mention splashing our teachers wet too!
We wish you a great Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
See you in 2013!
Coney, Kelly and Juliana
Mead and Cooper Rooms
Dear Mead and Cooper families,
What a busy week we have had from writing letters to Santa, families and friends, posting them at our post office. Children got to choose if they posted locally or internationally. Gabby posted letters back to Tokyo where she went on holiday, Leonardo posted to grandparents in Rome, Abhi posted to family in India and lots of Cooper children posted to Liam who is on holiday in Hong Kong.
The children were very excited to find what Santa had hidden for them on our treasure hunt at the adventure playground. Some suggestions were
Gwen - Money
William - Skateboard
Adu - A car
Marcus - A car wash
They were surprised to see candy canes, and excited to have a taste.
We had great fun on our Wet and Wild day. The children touched very cold ice with sheep, polar bears and glitter in. We had the hose pipe which the children used to fill up paddling pools and get their friends wet. We also had a slip and slide with lots of bubbles on. All the children got very wet and as did the teachers!
Thank you for all the generous presents and well wishes.
Love Miss C. Miss Bowden, Miss Gray and Mrs Nacca

In the classrooms
Langley
This week in the Langley Room we have enjoyed making cards and writing messages of love to our families. We have been practising our cutting and wrapping skills and putting presents under the Christmas tree. We have been trying to keep cool by playing with our sparkly, glittered water using corks for boats and watching them float as well as playing under the hose. And we have been measuring ourselves on the outside wall to see how tall we are.
Next Thursday 20/12/12 we will be having a water fun day. Please dress your children in their bathers and pack a towel and non-uniform clothes (casual day) in their bags.
We would like to say a big thank you to Miss Ange, who has now finished in the Langley Room, for her help over the last 8 weeks. We wish her all the best and hope to see her back here soon.
Thanks,
Kerry, Nicole, Ange and Amelia
Dear Cooper and Mead families,
What a hot start to the Christmas holidays and a rainy end! We have been trying to keep cool in the classrooms and town square this week. We took a short walk to the car park where we saw Bella. Who is Bella? Is it a bird, is it a plane? No, it’s William’s prestige car! William was driven to school in this old classic car by his dad, who let all the children have a look at the inside and out. We were very impressed by how it looked and can’t wait to see photos of what it looked like five years ago before they spent lots of time doing it up.
As we do not have Show and Tell during the holidays, we had a puppet show instead. The children have been watching puppet shows created by the teachers every afternoon and have had the opportunity to play along themselves throughout the day. We have had lots of exciting shows, and some very funny ones when Miss Bowden got gobbled up by a koala, crocodile and frog!
Don’t forget on Thursday 20th December we are having our Wet Water Day, so please bring your child with bathers under their clothes, or in their bags. We are going to be getting very wet so a towel may be handy. Children are welcome to come in non PAC clothing if they wish to for the last day of term.

We have had a fun, relaxed and HOT first week of the holidays! We have been getting into the festive spirit and preparing for the season! The children have been very interested in making Christmas cards for their families, friends and of course the jolly man in red! An aspect of this they have been especially enjoying is posting their letters in the classroom post box, collecting them and popping them in their lockers to go home!
Please remember that next Thursday we will be having a water play day, so please dress your children in appropriate "beach" attire with a spare change of casual clothes in their bag.
If you are leaving us for the year we wish you a wonderful festive season filled with love, happiness and fun! For those that will return for the last week of holidays, we will see you next week!!!
Warm wishes from Mrs Shakespear, Mrs Rocca and Mrs Nacca
